Nyx Matte Lipstick Review

I really wanted to like Nyx Matte Lipsticks. There's a nice bold color selection, and a clever case design to see the color without opening it. Unfortunately these lipsticks are too matte. As you can see in the swatches below, as soon as you apply there are dark dry patches. This was especially bad with the Siren shade.

The only way these lipsticks are wearable is to gently remove the dark spots and put lip gloss on top. Otherwise your lips will be a dry, blotchy mess.
