I really like Burt's Bees Lip Shimmers, so I thought I would try their Satin Lipstick.
Unfortunately Burt's Bees Satin Lipstick has a few problems. The recyclable plastic case looks clever with each shade peeking through the honeycomb, but it doesn't roll up smoothly. It's taller than your average lipstick case as well.
Another issue is application. It paints very unevenly. You can even see little bumps on the tube, like an old lipstick you should throw out, but it's not old. It is best to put on some lip balm before using this lipstick, so application isn't so rough. Caution, it also transfers a lot.
I'm actually quite surprised that this lipstick made Allure Magazine's Best of Beauty list. Yes, it's a natural product without parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, or petrolatum; but if it isn't a useful product it doesn't really matter.
