I love wearing colorful eye shadows, but sometimes it's tricky to find the right lipstick to pair with them. You could just wear a neutral shade, but that usually looks a little off to me. I only like it if the neutral shade has similar undertones to the eye shadow. Or you could pair it with a bold lip, but that can make the total look too intense. These bright pastel lipsticks are good alternative.

I was surprised how wearable these lipstick shades are. They aren't pastel enough to make your lips look lifeless, but also not bright enough to look obnoxious.

These lipsticks are very dry and solid. You need to drag them across your lips with a little pressure to get smooth application. I prefer to layer them with lip gloss. It looks better, and it leaves behind a slightly stained lip instead of some random dry patches of color when it wears off. You can even use a tinted lip gloss to alter the color some.
