Maybelline Color Sensational Shine Compulsion Lipstick Review

 

Maybelline Color Sensational Shine Compulsion Lipstick has 60 percent reflective oils. But is it actually moisturizing and pigmented?

Unfortunately it is hard to find anything positive to say about these lipsticks. They do have a pretty shiny rose gold tube, but that's about it. They are shiny on your lips, but really thick and messy. I'm not sure if they are moisturizing. They dried and faded on my lips very quickly. I was left with just a slight tint of color.

As you can see above, when you first apply these lipsticks, they look okay. If you look closely, you can see uneven patches. The colors are a lot lighter than in the tubes, but it is glossy. It felt like there was slippery goop on my lips, until it dried down to nothing. The scent is odd. A hint of vanilla, but mostly just old lipstick smell.

I don't think these are usable at all. They are even too thick to use as gloss on top of a lipstick. Maybelline has nice regular Color Sensational lipsticks, but these are a total failure. Have you tried these? Did they work better for you? Comment below.
